Minecon (stylized as "MineCon" or "MINECON") is an official [[Fan convention|convention]] dedicated to ''Minecraft''. The first one was held in November 2011 at the [[Mandalay Bay]] Hotel and Casino in [[Las Vegas]]. ''MineCon Earth 2018'' followed the same format as the 2017 event, but was renamed in 2019 to "MINECON Live" to avoid confusion with Mojang's augmented-reality game, ''Minecraft Earth''.
